Let's start with the front of the house:
This is the rockery I built because this area used to be extremely ugly. It is now our herb and flower garden ish.
Can you name the plants? Rosemary, lavender, oregano, cilantro, thyme, marjoram, chives, and a bunch of mysterious wildflowers from one of those kids wildflower seed packets. I LOVE being able to go out and pick some fresh delicious herbs to cook with, especially to put in bread!
Around the corner is our newly built vegetable garden bed, and today I planted 4 different tomatoes there (3 of which we grew from seed) and an artichoke (top right). This is the sunniest and hottest side of the house. I hope the tomatoes will enjoy it.
Also in this bed are newly transplanted cucumbers, zucchini, delicata squash, and yellow crooked squash. We grew almost all of these from seed too.
Moving along to the back "porch" I put two cherry tomatoes in a big pot and around 15 basil plants in that other pot. They will be crowded but they'll get over it.
Also newly potted (if you consider that a pot...) is an upside down cherry tomato. I think it's a fun way to grow tomatoes. (P.S. Hey mom is it ok if I have this upside down tomato planter?..... oops.)
Also in this bed are strawberries and sunflowers that mom grew for the garden sale last week. Not pictured is also rhubarb and lots of tulips, daffodils, irises, and lilies.
Next are the sugar snap and snow peas climbing the fence!
Then we have our other vegetable bed, mostly shade veggies like beets, carrots, lettuce, and onions.
Also potatoes :)
We have some fun houseplant action going on too, check it out (how adorable is that watering can full of succulents?:
Isn't that nice. In other news, our bird feeders have finally started getting some attention, I saw three birds visit just sitting here writing this blog!
Also we sprouted an avocado pit and it is growing an awesome tree.
Also the apple tree is looking happier since we gave it a much needed pruning!
You just learned way more than you cared to know about the things growing in and around our house! Congratulations.
Enjoy the sunshine!!

P.S. You can borrow the upside down cherry tomato thing if you'll throw some in the salads!
