Winter Update

Oh snap what time is it? BLOG TIME!

Lets start with school! I'm taking 12 credits this quarter, 8 in a class called Language Literature and the Schools with the same teacher I had last quarter who is amazing, and 4 in a class called Class and Education. It is a peculiar thing learning about teaching, because everything that happens in our own learning is grounds for analysis as teachers. So the whole thing is very self reflective and connection making and mind blowing. I am/was leaning toward teaching high school in the math/science areas, but the classes I'm taking are very focused on english and writing and language and reading and development and so many other fascinating things! I love it!! So my direction as a teacher is somewhat uncertain, but my passion for it is only getting stronger! And I have plenty of time to figure it out. My work at Avanti High School is also going really well, it is such a great environment to work in and also to put into practice all the things I'm learning at school. Yay for life/school/future continuity!

So that's what I'm up to in a nutshell at school. I could go on and on about the things I am learning but I'll spare you for now.

What else? Oh yeah! I have got the knitting bug for sweaters. I've never really been into making sweaters because they are hard and expensive and never fit right. But someone in my class showed me this new way of sweater construction and inspired me to rip apart my old sweaters I've tried to make and fix and beautify them. Check it out!

I also am making progress on the marathon training, 6 miles this week!!
